Today we are joined on the Brain Booster by PGA Tour coach Rick Sessinghaus. We get the chance to discuss the development of one of his players Collin Morikawa from being a junior player to a breath taking debut on the PGA Tour. We talk about how Rick realised early on in his coaching career that the mental part of the game was so vital for a coach to embrace.
If you are not helping your players on this aspect of the game then you are only partially doing your job.
As a former professional player himself Rick finds more satisfaction helping others achieve their dreams than he did in his own competitive career. Long intrigued by the fact that physical skills were rarely the determining factor in athletic success.
He took ACTION
He didn’t just think about improving his coaching.
He made it happen.
He studied the mental and emotional skills that make or break a performance. Rick has a Doctorate Degree in Applied Sports Psychology; he is also a Certified Mind Factor Coach.
Rick is constantly researching the latest scientific findings pertinent to achievement in golf, business, and life.
We discuss some key elements to help YOUR game:
On course training
New games to play
How to use statistics more efficiently
How to give a player more ownership of their game
A great session
