Fantastic to welcome back on the podcast my good friends Piers Ward and Andy Proudman from Me and My Golf.
They have both been pioneers in the online coaching space but at their heart they are dedicated golf coaches primarily interested in helping players get better at the game by looking in a holistic way at performance.
We had the opportunity to discuss the new life the boys have created in San Diego
The different levels of commitment from player to player
The evolution of online coaching and how we need to move in the direction of actually showing improving golfers in a lesson situation
Less about what the coach knows and more about the students experience
The benefits of working as a partnership challenging each other
- Working with top players such as Arron Rai
- How to get players to improve rapidly and the need to really LISTEN to the person in front of you
- Tuning into a players individual learning styles
- Clubface first and then body pivot
- Asking the student what THEY think is going to happen in the lesson
- Deconstructing how you coach. What makes you unique as a coach?
