In the modern world do we all fall into the trap of trying to make things too easy for ourselves?
Instead of searching out ways to solve a problem by using our creative mind we often default to the press of a button and get ‘Dr Google’ do the job.
The issue is we are short circuiting perhaps our most powerful learning weapon, the brain and its innate genius in solving problems.
Give our brain a clear puzzle to solve with some correct concepts and the amazing capacity our brain has will go to work.
We have been slowly but surely getting further and further away from this in the all too easy digital world.
However on today’s show we get the chance to listen to an outstanding young coach in the shape of Jamie McConnell.
Jamie is based in Dubai and is the lead coach for the Saudi national team.
I have done a good bit of work over the years with Jamie and the success he has had is no surprise to me. His enthusiasm for coaching is infectious.
He is a wonderful problem solver and he brings to his own coaching the courage to set his own students some specific problems to solve in their own game so they actually then OWN the improvement themselves.
